Chapter 003

Presenting a foreign interpretation of Earth's native floral forms through an exploration of the anatomy of flowering plants. The collection focuses particularly on the parts: pedicel, petal and ovary, and portrays flowers from a unique perspective in a peculiar form. Inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe and Karl Blossfeldt, the collection seeks to appreciate the beauty of nature and the things around us that we tend to overlook.

The collection features unprecedented, magnified details of plant surfaces that are found in nature's textures and forms, portrayed in a wearable sculptural form. The collection collaborates with ceramic artist éphēlis, marrying the hardness and modern silvers with the softness and classic ceramics, resulting in a range of textures and mono colours that create the Martian flowers. The result is a collection that provides an immersive experience, inviting the viewer to contemplate and appreciate the unique forms of nature and the beauty that lies within.
